Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge is using Nature's Notebook to document phenology of four berry-producing shrubs that are used by bears for food. They are interested to learn if the timing of berries, particularly the peak in number of ripe berries, is shifting over time. Kodiak NWR is using trail cameras to document phenology and then using photos to complete the Nature's Notebook datasheets.
